Torino, Italy (Europe) - March 21, 2008 - OvolabR today released a major upgrade to Ovolab Geophoto, its innovative application for browsing photos by location on your Mac.

Ovolab Geophoto is an all-in-one application for easily organizing and browsing photos by location, through a three-dimensional representation of the Earth. The user can pan, zoom and fly through the photos, thanks to high-resolution satellite images of the planet.

Ovolab Geophoto 2 adds powerful new features and a revamped user interface.

Geotagging photos is much easier, thanks to a new map view which allows precise positioning of photos at street-level detail.

Also new is the ability to match pictures with track points from a GPS device: this powerful new feature makes it extremely easy to pin photos to the exact spot where the shot was taken. Users simply need to bring a handheld GPS unit or a GPS logger with them when taking pictures, and Geophoto will do the rest.

The new version of Geophoto provides tighter integration with iLife '08 and .Mac Web Galleries. Geophoto supports the geographical coordinates that can be embedded into the photos in a Web Gallery.

Geophoto can import photos from Aperture and Photoshop Lightroom libraries, and can now save coordinates and tags in Camera RAW files too.

Professional photographers will also benefit from Geophoto's handling of IPTC tags, and from its ability to geotag photos automatically based on the city and country tags found in the picture files.

Pricing and Availability

Ovolab Geophoto 2.0 is available immediately at the price of $24.95 (USA/Canada) or €24.95 (rest of the world). An evaluation version can be downloaded from Ovolab's website.

Users of version 1 of Geophoto can purchase an upgrade to version 2 for $8.95.

Please visit the Ovolab web site at http://www.ovolab.com/ for more information.

San Francisco, CA (USA) - January 15, 2008 - OvolabR today released the second major release of Ovolab Geophoto, its innovative application for sorting and browsing photos by location on your Mac.

Ovolab Geophoto is an all-in-one application for easily organizing and browsing photos by location, through a three-dimensional representation of the Earth. The user can pan, zoom and fly through the photos, thanks to high-resolution satellite images of the planet.

Version 2 makes positioning photos in the correct location easier, by also letting users import track data from GPS devices.

Users can easily drag their pictures to a specific location on the globe in order to pin them to a specific location. Once positioned, pictures can be shared with other users and will automatically appear in the correct location on the Earth when opened in Geophoto.

Owners of GPS loggers and other GPS devices can now perform this task automatically and precisely, thanks to Geophoto's time-shifting and time correction features.

Geophoto automatically reads the geographical information stored inside digital photos by GPS-equipped cameras, too.

Ovolab Geophoto is being demoed during this week at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, at Ovolab's booth S-313 in the South hall.

Pricing and Availability

Ovolab Geophoto 2.0 will be released in the second half of February 2007 as an electronic download, and will cost $19.95.

Users who have purchased Geophoto in 2008 will receive a free upgrade to Geophoto 2 when released.

Torino, Italy (Europe) - April 23, 2007 - OvolabR today released version 1.1 of Ovolab Geophoto, its geotagging application for Mac OS X.

Geophoto is an all-in-one application for geotagging, collecting, browsing and sharing pictures.

Geophoto displays photos on a three-dimensional representation of the Earth, pinned to the location where each photo was taken. The user can pan, zoom and fly through the photos, thanks to high-resolution satellite images of the Earth.

Users can easily drag their pictures to a specific location on the globe in order to "geotag" them. Once geotagged, pictures can be shared with other users and will automatically appear in the correct location on the Earth when opened in Geophoto.

New in version 1.1 are the Loupe, which uses Google Maps to provide a close-up view of the area below the mouse; and the Tag cloud, a heads-up display of the terms used to tag every picture, which also serves as a convenient way to browse photos.

Ovolab Geophoto provides seamless integration with iPhoto and Flickr, where a vast community already shares geotagged pictures.

Geophoto is a perfect tool for photographers, for travelers, for people who wish to explore new places in the world, or get the inspiration for a trip. And it is a wonderful tool even if you're not a traveler or a photographer: you'll be able to discover faraway places through pictures taken by Flickr users, or simply organize the photos you've taken with your friends, by pinning them to their neighborhoods.

Geophoto supports GPS data stored in JPEG files, Camera RAW images and other formats.

Torino, Italy (Europe) - March 12, 2007 - OvolabR today released Geophoto, a new Mac OS X application for browsing, collecting and sharing digital pictures.

Ovolab Geophoto displays photos on a three-dimensional representation of the Earth, pinned to the location where each photo was taken. The user can pan, zoom and fly through the photos, thanks to high-resolution satellite images of the Earth.

Users can easily drag their pictures to a specific location on the globe in order to "geotag" them.
Once geotagged, a picture can be shared with other users and will automatically appear in the correct location on the Earth when opened in Geophoto.

First previewed at Macworld Expo 2007 in San Francisco, Geophoto was greeted with a great interest by visitors. Geophoto can be an invaluable tool not only to travelers or professional photographers, but also to users who wish to organize their own photos or explore new places, as well as to any member of the Flickr community.

Geophoto opens up an entirely new way of browsing photos: by viewing the picture in the context it was taken in, and by visually relating it to other pictures taken nearby, users can receive plenty of additional information from a single shot. And when traveling, the sequence of photos forms a trail that further enriches the viewer's experience.

Geophoto provides seamless integration with iPhoto: users can browse albums' photos on the Earth, and add geotagging information to photos that are not linked to a specific location yet.

Through Geophoto, users can also subscribe to iPhoto photocasts and browse photos on Flickr, where a vast community of people around the world already shares geotagged pictures.
Finding Flickr photos taken in a specific area on the Earth is as easy as clicking on that area and choosing "Find Flickr Photos in this Location" from Geophoto's menus.

A connection to the Internet is not required for placing photos on the Earth or for browsing the iPhoto library: Geophoto includes high-resolution satellite imagery and can work with local image files. This is essential for travelers and other users who do not intend to upload all their pictures to online services such as Flickr.

Geophoto is a perfect tool for photographers, for travelers, for people who wish to explore new places in the world, or get the inspiration for a trip.

Ovolab Geophoto supports 3Dconnexion's Space Navigator three-dimensional input device, which augments Geophoto's ease of use and speed with an intuitive way to navigate through space.

Geophoto supports GPS data stored in JPEG files, Camera RAW images and other formats.

Pricing and Availability

Ovolab Geophoto is available immediately from the Ovolab online store at the price of $49.95.

San Francisco, CA (USA) - January 9, 2007 - OvolabR today announced Geophoto, a new product for browsing and sharing digital photos.

Ovolab Geophoto displays pictures on the Earth, in the location where the photo was taken. The user can rotate, zoom and fly through the photos, on top of a photorealistic three-dimensional Earth.

Users can easily drag their pictures to a specific location on the globe in order to "geotag" it, i.e. to add location information to the image file.
Once geotagged, a picture can be shared with other users, and it will automatically appear in the correct location on the Earth when opened in Geophoto.

This new product opens up an entirely new way of browsing pictures: by viewing the photo in the context it was taken in, and by visually relating it to other photos taken nearby, users can receive plenty of additional information from a single shot. And when travelling, the sequence of pictures forms a trail that further enriches the viewer's experience.

Geophoto provides seamless integration with iPhoto: users can browse album photos on the Earth, and add geotagging information to photos that are not linked to a specific location yet.

Geophoto can also browse photos on Flickr, where a vast community of people around the world already shares "geotagged" pictures, as well as subscribe to iPhoto Photocasts.

A connection to the Internet is not required for placing photos on the Earth or for browsing the iPhoto library: Geophoto has high-resolution satellite imagery inside, and can work with local image files. This is essential for travelers and for users who do not wish to upload all their pictures to services like Flickr.

Geophoto is a perfect tool for photographers, for travelers, for people who wish to discover new places in the world, or get the inspiration for a trip.

And Geophoto is not limited to pictures: users can place all sorts of information on the globe - contact information, links to web sites, any kind of file. Thanks to this feature, Geophoto is also a great tool for keeping travel diaries, for creating your own guide to restaurants or places in the world, which can be browsed by flying over a three-dimensional Earth.

Ovolab Geophoto supports 3Dconnexion's Space Navigator three-dimensional input device, which adds an intuitive way to navigate through space to Geophoto's ease of use and speed.

Geophoto automatically reads the geographical information stored inside digital photos by GPS-equipped cameras.

Torino, Italy (Europe) - March 14, 2006 - OvolabR today unveiled the third major release of Phlink, its innovative and award-winning telephony software for Mac OS X.

Phlink 3 adds innovative new features, becoming an essential tool for use at home as well as in home offices: call snooping, advanced multiple voice mailbox features, remote control of Elgato's EyeTV.

Phlink 3 is available as a universal binary for use on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.

Call snooping

When call snooping is active, Phlink records all the conversations that take place on the phone line, regardless of whether Phlink has answered the phone or not. This is an extremely useful new feature that allows users to keep a record of all conversations for later playback.

"You no longer need to scribble down notes on a piece of paper," says Alberto Ricci, Ovolab's CEO. "Just as you can keep a copy of all outgoing email, Phlink can now record all your calls."
Call snooping works with any call that takes place on the phone line, including conference calls, and can play a periodic beep to notify other parties that the call is being recorded. Call recordings are stored as audio files on the user's Mac: they can be labeled, annotated, browsed and sorted using Phlink, and they are even indexed for Spotlight searches.

Users who do not need to record their phone calls will still find Phlink's call logging features extremely useful: instantly see when a person last called, and return the call at the touch of a button. Phlink supports 10-digit and 11-digit dialing as well as international dialing, and automatically picks all the necessary prefixes and country codes when dialing international phone numbers.

Multiple voice mailboxes

The new Voice Mailbox Setup wizard, included with Phlink, can create an unlimited number of voice mailboxes. For each mailbox, users can record their own greeting and choose which email address to forward the voicemail messages to.
Users who prefer to check voicemail by remotely dialing into Phlink, rather than receiving the messages by email, can retrieve voicemail messages over the phone. Through a full-featured interactive menu, users can also change their current greeting, switch between standard and temporary greetings and modify their email forwarding options.

EyeTV support

Users of Elgato's popular software for digital video recording can now schedule recordings remotely over the phone, by simply calling home and typing a secret code on the telephone keypad. If you forgot to tell EyeTV to record your favorite show, simply call Phlink and tell it to record it - at the desired time, on the desired channel!
"We are impressed with Phlink's flexibility," said Dr. Markus Fest, President and founder of Elgato Systems. "The seamless EyeTV integration adds another very interesting option for remotely scheduling EyeTV recordings."

Phlink 3 is the most advanced telephony application for your Mac. Whether you use it as a voicemail system, for call logging or as a dialer, its seamless integration with Mac OS X Tiger makes it easy to use, without interrupting your workflow, augmenting your productivity.

Pricing and Availability

Ovolab Phlink 3.0 is available immediately for the suggested retail price of $149.95 plus shipping.
Users of version 2 of Phlink can upgrade to version 3 for $39.95.

Ovolab Phlink is available for purchase from the Ovolab online store, as well as from resellers and retail stores worldwide, including the Apple Store (Europe): please visit the Ovolab web site at http://www.ovolab.com/phlink/ for more information.

Torino, Italy (Europe) - April 29, 2005 - OvolabR today released version 2.1 of Ovolab Phlink, its innovative and award-winning telephony software for the Mac.

Version 2.1 of Ovolab Phlink features full support for Mac OS X Tiger with Dashboard widgets, Spotlight searches and Automator actions. Additionally, Ovolab Phlink 2.1 sports a new smart list editor: similar in concept to smart folders in Tiger's new Finder, smart lists can organize calls and voicemail messages automatically for the user.

"Searching for a client's or a friend's name with Spotlight will now instantly find all past calls with that person," said Alberto Ricci, Ovolab's CEO. "And thanks to Phlink's Dashboard widgets, a keypad for dialing is at your fingertips. It has been exciting to provide users with new ways of using Phlink in their everyday tasks."

"Tiger includes hundreds of new features which make it the world's most advanced operating system," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "We're excited to see the latest version of Phlink use Spotlight, Dashboard and Automator to give Mac users a powerful telephony solution."

Spotlight support. When performing searches, Spotlight is now able to find information about past phone calls: searching for a friend's name will not only find references to the friend within documents on the computer, but it will also reveal all calls received from that person. Spotlight can index and search through call-related information, such as the time and duration of the call, the name of the remote party, and any notes that the user attaches to the call in Phlink.

Dashboard widgets. Ovolab Phlink 2.1 includes two Dashboard widgets - mini-applications that are a keypress away from your desktop. By pressing a function key, a Dashboard widget zooms across your desktop and displays the last five incoming, outgoing and missed calls. A second widget lets you dial phone numbers directly from the Dashboard, either using a keypad or by choosing a contact from your Address Book. Phlink's Dashboard widgets also allow you to control Phlink running on another Mac on the network.

Automator actions. Phlink's actions for Automator are building blocks that can be easily inserted in your workflows. Tell Automator to call you on your cell phone when it has finished resizing 5,000 images. Or to call a list of people, automatically, inviting them to your next meeting.

Paris, France (Europe) - August 31, 2004 - OvolabTM today released version 1.5 of Ovolab Phlink, its innovative and award-winning telephony software for the Mac.

Ovolab Phlink turns your Mac into a powerful answering machine and telephone information center. Widely used in the home, home office and in businesses, Ovolab Phlink greets callers with personalized greetings, plays caller-specific ringtones, sends voice messages by email and more.

The new version, demoed throughout the week at Apple Expo in Paris, adds support for network caller ID. Codenamed "Appelezvous", this technology builds on Apple's Rendezvous to allow automatic broadcasting of caller information over the local network - without requiring any configuration.

When a call is received, Ovolab Phlink pops up a translucent window with information about the caller. Thanks to Appelezvous, this window can now pop up on other Macs on the network too.

"This is extremely useful to small businesses, so that everybody can tell at a glance whether one should answer the call or if it's for somebody else," says Alberto Ricci, CEO of Ovolab. "But it is also very useful when the Mac running Phlink is a server, or simply located in another room."

Combining Appelezvous with other powerful features, including caller announcement, call forwarding and call notifications, Ovolab Phlink today becomes even more powerful. It gives businesses the functionality that was once available only through expensive equipment, and it allows families to make their telephone part of the digital hub.

Pricing and Availability
Version 1.5 of Ovolab Phlink is available immediately to all existing users as a free software update.

Torino, Italy (Europe) - May 11, 2004 - OvolabTM today released version 1.4 of Ovolab Phlink, its innovative and award-winning telephony software for the Mac.

Ovolab Phlink turns your Mac into a powerful answering machine and telephone information center.

The new version can handle multiple phone lines simultaneously, by simply plugging in multiple Phlink telephone adapters. Additionally, Ovolab Phlink now detects incoming faxes and routes them to the Mac's internal fax modem. When a phone line is ringing, a translucent window pops up on the desktop, showing the phone number of the caller and the name, if available. Phlink users can add dynamic information to this window through AppleScript. For instance, a script can automatically look up the caller's phone number on the Internet and display the name and address of the caller in this pop-up window.

Using Ovolab Phlink, you can create your own phone trees and virtually infinite voice mailboxes.

Ovolab Phlink forwards your voicemail to you by email - encoded in a highly-compressed format such as AAC or 3GPP, which can turn a one-minute message into a small, 60KB attachment.

Widely used in the home, home office and in businesses, Ovolab Phlink makes your telephone part of the digital hub. It greets callers with personalized greetings, plays caller-specific ringtones, and much more.

Thanks to the power of AppleScript, you can configure it to perform any action based on who is calling, when, or what keys are pressed during the call. As an example, you can instruct Phlink to page you when you receive a call from a specific person, or to call you back on your cell phone and play the message that was recorded.

Version 1.4 of Ovolab Phlink is available immediately to all existing users as a free software update.

Ovolab Phlink is a software and hardware product that turns your Mac into a flexible and powerful answering machine and telephone information center.

Users can create multiple voice mailboxes, and have voicemail forwarded to them by email - encoded in a highly-compressed format such as AAC or 3GPP (the latter can turn a one-minute message into a small, 60KB attachment).

Using Indigo together with Ovolab Phlink, you can have total control over your house from anywhere in the world. Warm up the hot tub from your mobile phone, turn off the lights, and more - thanks to this breakthrough combination of technology from Ovolab and Perceptive Automation.

Ovolab Phlink automatically answers telephone calls and identifies the caller based on Caller ID. Indigo dynamically builds and speaks a menu of options over the phone, based on your home control setup. Through this menu, you can turn devices on and off, brighten or dim lights, and hear the status of devices, including the brightness of light and lamp modules. Additionally, the dynamic menu allows you to execute Indigo Action Groups, which are macro sequences of home control actions such as lighting scenes.

Ovolab Phlink can allow access to Indigo functions to specific callers only, or it can require the caller to enter a password for additional security. To other callers, it can serve as an intelligent information center and as a powerful answering machine.
