The major challenge in developing Ristoranti d'Italia was to design a navigation model that would make it easy to find the restaurant the user is looking for.

We divided the app into different sections, for searching by different criteria: on a map, by region or from a list of the best ones - as picked by the editors of the guide. Within these sections, users are able to refine the search in intuitive and unobtrusive ways. For instance, the map can be flipped to reveal a list of the restaurants sorted by distance from your location. Or, within a region, you can optionally sort by rating or price. And all listings sport icons and badges that allow you to identify the features of a restaurant at a glance.

Finally, all this is combined with blazing fast database searches powered by Core Data.
