Phlink runs identically, as far as I can tell, on Client and Server. I have been running Phlink 2 and previous incarnations on a Blue/White G3 running Mac OS X Server 10.3.8 without a hitch — with regard to software. Of course a word of caution, if you are going to run Phlink on an older machine and have a ton of cut off problems, check the USB hardware. I had a tremendous number of problems with messages until I installed a new USB card. Phlink and PMC have run flawlessly ever since. Is there something specific that you need from Server that you can't get out of client?

I'm finding the same with a blue-and-white G3 (with a 500MHz G4 card) and Mac OS X client 10.3.8. The on-board USB on blue-and-white G3s may be a common point. I'm off to pick up a USB card... |

| That did it for me, too. I borrowed a spare MacAlly USB/FireWire combo card. Now my incoming calls are no longer cut off randomly (usually within 20-90 seconds, often before the outgoing message completed), as they were when connected directly to the blue-and-white G3 motherboard. |
